AboUT ME

I believe we all have the power within us to enjoy good health, happiness and prosperity. We do so through treating our bodies well, practicing mindfulness and compassion and embracing creativity and play! Dancing frees me. Yoga quiets my mind.  Travel fills me with wonder!

I’m a former corporate marketing executive turned yoga teacher and surfer. I once spent my days writing speeches and blog posts for Fortune 500 CEOs and writing marketing plans for online startups. Stressful workplace culture and my own pressure to be an overachiever left me burned out and seeking more purpose in my life. I needed to enjoy more, work less and inspire others.

So I used what I learned in business school to plan a life strategy. By embracing minimalism, budgeting, and creating a vision to live my ideal life, I now get to travel the world while inspiring people with wellness and mindfulness.

Mind

I have a master’s degree in Communications Management from Syracuse University and 15 years of management and copywriting experience. I am a certified Yoga Instructor (e-RYT 500, YACEP) and Reiki Master. I’m also a certified Health and Wellbeing Coach (NBHWC approved).

BODY

Growing up, I never was a gymnast or elite athlete. I have always had to work hard to maintain a healthy weight. I also had low self-confidence and body image issues. But in my late 20's I found a passion for dancing and yoga. I became a dance and fitness instructor in 2010 and a yoga instructor in 2013. In 2014, this once very self-conscious girl began performing hoop, fire and circus arts on stage in San Diego as "Gypsea BombChel." I now share what I have learned through this transformation, teaching movement and body confidence that will help you love the body you are in right now. I teach yoga for every body! Whatever your needs or level, I can design a practice that’s inclusive to your body’s abilities.

SPIRIT

I've trained all over the world while traveling solo, meditating and trekking solo in Nepal and visiting temples in Bali, and chatting with monks in Burma and Thailand. I've also learned a great deal about compassion by volunteering with orphans and underprivileged kids in Sri Lanka, Peru and Mexico. I have a genuine commitment to living mindfully and studying under the best teachers.

I’m not perfect, which means I’m authentic. I am practicing daily to be my best. That is what I ask of you, too.
